Does anyone have one of these they don't need?

For everything to do with Dolomites, Toledos, FWD cars and Dolomite-based kitcars.

Does anyone have one of these they don't need?

#1 Post by Bumpa »

I'm gathering the bits for converting an 1850HL to overdrive. Alun has kindly supplied me with most of the mounting bits I need but he didn't have one of these lower plates, part number 160268. See the picture to identify it. I would be happy to pay a reasonable price for the part.

If Simon doesn't sort you one out, then I've got a spare rusty one you can have for the price of the postage. It does admittedly look like it was dredged up along with the Mary Rose in the picture, but not so bad in the flesh, and It'll clean up fine after 5 minutes with a wire brush.

Thanks both. I have sent a PM to Simon, but if he can't find one I'll take the crusty one Galileo. As you say it will brush up OK. I'll get back to you if Simon draws a blank.

Thanks Alun, I'm sure I'll have one of those. I have loads of new nuts and bolts in all sorts of UNF/UNC sizes following many years of rebuilds. The last one was an Elan Sprint, the only car I've ever sold for a profit! At the moment I just have my faithful V8 MGBGT, which has given me many years and thousands of miles of enjoyable and reliable motoring. The Dolly is something quite different for me and I'm looking forward to getting it back on the road.

Yes I can Raf, you have to be very careful about size and weight with the post office these days; often the wrapping you use can put you over the limits of size. Also, anything heavier than 2Kg is cheaper with a courier!
