I recently acquired a 1500TC which is more of a parts car than a viable rebuild project, but there are a few things that I think are not standard:
1. It has a single rail non overdrive gearbox. My last 1500TC and the one I can see detail for on the internet have a 3 rail box. It claims to be a May 75 car so what should it have?
2. Again my last 1500 last tiny carbs, this has fatter ones - more like the 1500HL that a friend used to have.
3. Where the top wishbones join the sub-frame it has the extra bracket at the front. I thought this was only on late cars? I wonder if sub-frame, engine and box have been swapped at some point?
It does have the thin door cappings and 1500 badges, but brown cloth seats with holes for headrests. Oh and it has a bulkhead insulation pad. I know Toledo's didn't have them, but not sure about 1500s?
1500TC standard or modified?

Re: 1500TC standard or modified?
Gearbox and carbs sound std to me, there was a change over at some point.....
No idea on subframe though, or trim. But he 1500 was way upmarket compared to the toledo....
Nothing there sounds like anything to be concerned with.

Re: 1500TC standard or modified?
Clive, you're right.
The change to single rail gearbox occurred in 1975 so the late 1500TCs will have them. The same happened with the Toledo in April 1975 according to the Haynes.
Late 1500TCs changed from HS2 carbs to HS4 carbs. Another of the 1975 changes.
I don't know about the bracket but I suspect it was another of the changes that occurred in 1975.
I'll have to check my parts catalogue which will tell me when the changes occurred.

My Dec 73 Toledo has the supported upper wishbones and has had them from new, go figure!
