Bullet Run - 9-11 June 2017

#1 Post by Triumph1300 »

We have been invited to the following event, which is being held in memory of David Keepax, designer/stylist of the Triumph Dolomite.

I hope that some Dolomites can take part

The Bullet Run 2017

Bullet Run 2017 will follow in the footsteps once again  of picturesque driving routes endured by the Triumph test drivers. This year the  area chosen is the Southern Peak District. The Hinckley Island Hotel,  Leicestershire LE10 3JA will be our base for the weekend with a special rate  negotiated at 75 BB double or £68 for a single per night. This can be booked  via central reservations on 0870 4100800 using the following code TRDRIV090617.
Saturday will see us head off in convoy via MIRA  onwards into the Peak District. A planned stop for lunch and returning to the  Hotel early evening. The total mileage is approx. 180 miles avoiding motorway  routes. During the evening a guest speaker will entertain us in our own  allocated room next to the Triumph Bar and a buffet is available at £16.50 per  head payable direct to the hotel.
Sunday will again see a short drive to the Triumph  Sports Six Club museum in Lubenham where we are invited to look around the  fantastic displays and enjoy a BBQ included in the entry price.
Costs £25 for members (TDC and TR Drivers Club) and £30 for non-members. Non  members will automatically become temporary members of the TRDC for 2 months and  within their Bullet Run packs will also receive the latest copy of the TR  Driver. All participants will receive a Road Book and Rally Plaque, entry into  the TSSC museum and BBQ.
Spaces are strictly limited to 35 cars so booking early  is advised as this event proved very popular.

I was out on the Bullet Run this year and there was a very tidy white Dolomite along as well. Sorry I cannot remember the gentleman's name. Is it someone on here?
