Alternator question

#1 Post by swanners »

Please forgive me if this is a stupid question but is there any reason why I couldn't fit a Lucas 18ACR to my 1975 Sprint?

I would go for the later LRA style or even newer than that as the regulators are more robust and they are marginally more efficient.

Just fitted one to my 73 Sprint. The only issue I have found is the clip for the wiring plug almost catching the bottom rad hose, just removed the clip.Much better than my 15 ACR!
