powder coating

#1 Post by marko »

I'm getting a couple of things powder coated and have a pile of spares that I thought I'd clean a few bits up and sell them. What could I charge on eBay for a coated 1500 inlet manifold with stainless t pipe? Coated Rocker cover? Coated air filter box (back and front)? It needs to be worth doing.

I've been advertising similar coated items for an 1850 in Teds Stuff since day one with no offers. OK. It might be because they are yellow, but I also failed to sell a TR7 one he'd done to as new spec after three listings on eBay.

It's one of those; if you are lucky enough to find someone who wants it, preferably two such folk, then it's worth doing, but you could be stuck with it for a while....

I had some spare bits which I had done in Black and then put on Ebay, had zero interest. I wasn't asking silly money either. I decided to keep the bits in the loft for now and try again some other time. Fortunately I had so much stuff done that the cost was minimal.

There's a possibility I could be interested in all 3; it would tidy up my engine bay nicely. How much were you thinking? I'm at the other end of England, so they'd need to be posted if possible.

Thanks.
