Really easy, the link above has a tab for Downloads, click on that you get a datasheet, the datasheet shows it's a TO-220 package, and gives the pin numbers - IMPORTANT - do not get the the pin numbers the wrong way round, if you put power on the wrong way round the package can go bang and lots of little bits fly in every direction. Allegedly.
Bolt the chip to the bulkhead, metal to metal (I used a little heat sink paste) the middle pin is earth, solder a wire to this pin and bolt the wire to the bulkhead, remove any paint around the connection point. The middle pin is also connected to the metal rear of the chip, so you could not bother connecting it, but belt and braces.
Pin 1, solder a cable to this (use heatshrink tubing to cover up the bare leg after soldering) and I used the input connection of the now defunct original voltage regulator as the feed.
Pin 3 solder a cable to this and it goes to the now defunct output cable from the original voltage regulator.
I've tucked mine under the original voltage regulator, used the original wires and connectors, so it's unseen and can be swapped back in seconds if anyone feels the need for the true original set-up.

the couriers have brought me a set of hs4 twin carbs, manifold, air filter metal type, complete setup-ready to fit----huge thanks to Dazasdolly :D nice one, will fit when weather is better and not freezing cold.that should make 1300 dolly go better then single carb setup
if 1300 single carb produces 59bhp`ish,what would twin hs4 make? any ideas

I'll take a stab at an extra 7 bhp IF the carbs are set up right. The 1300 TC had an extra 14 bhp over the SC, but I think it had a different cam......

and a decent exhaust manifold, just like what the TDC has commissioned :D .

If you want a good improvement of economy and performance then go EFI.
More 4's Car SOS did this on a Herald 13/60 using an Emerald ECU.

There are several ways to do this,
one option is http://www.webcon.co.uk/shopdisplayprod ... at=Triumph,
bit others go bespoke and make their own.

if you wish to learn more, there is a wealth on the Sideways Technologies forum
http://sideways-technologies.co.uk/foru ... app=forums
including a beginners guide from Nick Jones.

The fronts are the same but the Sprint uses a different back hose to the other Dolomites
so that set won't do.
