At least you got some spanners - when mine arrived I sent them back as they were rubbish, I even phoned to complain as one of the spanners was the wrong size and the other was a poor fit. So a bought some from elsewhere and with a bit of re-engineering they are now a perfect fit. Its a shame that the locknuts are different sizes - the fronts are different sizes this due to the front spring being a larger diameter that the rear spring thence a bigger top locknut / spring platfrom seat. The rear locknuts are the same size small diameter spring.
Spax got it right with their lock nuts + spring platform seats - all the locknuts are the same size - spring platform seat are different sizes due to the springs being different diameters so they use a seperate platform seat which sit on top of the two locknuts.

Re: Ride height
Yeah, I had to touch mine up with the angle grinder a bit before they would work properly. My front rings are 2 different sizes with the lock rings being smaller, these are more or less the same size as both the rear rings. I also already had a few c spanners that were a legacy from a mates Nissan S13 driftcar that got totalled.
But I agree, considering how good Gaz are, the tools they sell or supply are cr*p!

Re: Ride height
Just fyi I contacted Gaz about this recently in light of other recent issues and the outcome at this point is a) it's safe as it is b) they changed the threads so no spare rings available. It's not been said as such but by implication it probably ought to have been a 2 ring per shock install.
I guess I'd prefer to somehow obtain these missing rings. It might well be fine as it is - and I'm sure it is - but it was designed and should have been provisioned with 2 so while it might be "OK" you'd have to think the full install must, in principle, be "better".
