Windscreen Sealant

#1 Post by AlanH »

I'm changing my windscreen. I have a new rubber but do I need to use a sealant, if so does anybody have a recommendation?

There seems to be a difference of opinion as to whether sealant is needed.

Yes use sealant. Get non-setting windscreen sealant from a motor factors.
The most important thing is to ensure your windscreen is absolutely central - sounds obvious, but....
I used sealant (second time round) under the outside of the rubber seal around the exterior of the car.
I'm sure others will chip in shortly.
