Sprint temperature sender thread?

#1 Post by GrahamFountain »

Does anybody know the thread for the temperature sensor for the Sprint?

Graham
The 16v Slant 4 engine is more fun than the 3.5 V8, because you mostly drive it on the upslope of the torque curve.

Factory 1977 TR7 Sprint FHC VVC 697S (Now all of, but still needs putting together)
B&Y 73 Dolomite Sprint UVB 274M (kids!)
1970 Maroon 13/60 Herald Convertable (wife's fun car).

Hi Graham, My original Smiths one is 0.614 O.D. 18 tpi with a 0.707 hex.
Which looks like 5/8 -18 U.N.F. thread and an 18mm hex (!)
Tony.

I agree with that, I bought 5/8 UNF tap to clean the thread out on my 1850 inlet manifold after the old sender unit seized in there.
