I have the complete motor, it is out of a Group C race car that was raced from 1977 to 1981 and was at the 1980 Bathurst 1000, motor has been in storage.... it appears to be in pretty good shape with minimal wear.... Bores are excellent it has new near new pistons, multiple heads with extensive work including enlarged valves and massive ports... billet end caps, o-ringed block, and a 328 degree camshaft 8)

Supposedly was pumping 210bhp in 1980 at group 1 BTCC specs for Bathurst... i am not convinced that this engine was used there as its in remarkable condition if it was... I suspect it was a backup motor or a later engine..... but I have taken a gamble with it.....

If the pics don't work...

I wonder if the car you refer to is the one Philip Larmour has been racing since (I believe) 1981. This is an ex-Broadspeed built car which was imported into Australia in 1975 by the Ron Hodgson Leyland Dealer Team. It was up for sale a year or two ago but don't know whether it sold.

Mark and Philip Larmour started SPRINTPARTS and made / supplied a lot of performance parts. I think they still trade a bit through ebay. Last contact i had was 61 2 97270458. They have both posted quite a bit on the forum, but not recently.

There was another Group C, Ron Hodgson built car that competed at Bathurst that sold in South Australia recently. Seemed a good price.

Interesting if you can glean more info on that engine's origins

Wow! Now that's what a Sprint should look like!! :)
Come and see some pretty shoddy, slow driving of a really well prepared competition Sprint here!
