I am dis assembling a sprint engine which I believe to be an early one (engine number myseriously ground out!) i have yet to get it apart fully, but is there a way to tell the early (toughened?) cranks, different part number etc
thanks

normal crank has one hole, cross drilled has three in the big end journals one of hich is plugged with a ball bearing.....something like 3/8ths in. Basically if there is more than one hole its cross drileld (and all that other good stuff that goes with it)
