Back from the Paint Shop!

#1 Post by Bumpa »

My Tahiti Blue 1850HL has returned after three weeks in the paint shop. I didn't want an expensive job so the guys just did it as and when they had some spare time. The car is not going to be a show queen but although basically solid was showing its 40 years age. I'm really pleased with the appearance and look forward to fitting the shiny bits back on. I'm rebuilding the engine at present, then it will have new brakes and some better wheels.

Does anyone want a set of original 1850HL steel wheels with black plastic hub caps? Free to anyone who wants them.

That is looking beautiful. I would love to do the same with my Toledo.

That's going to look fabulous once the chrome is on, one of my favourite colours on an 1850 (apart from my Brooklands😊) good work.

Hmm, I wonder where I could find an even larger smiley? Funny how green isn't a popular colour for cars these days, but I agree that a Dolly in Brooklands is very smart. I can't seem to get away from blue cars. My MGB is blue, my Z3 is blue, and when the Dolly came that was blue too.
