LED Brake lights and Indicators

#1 Post by PaulB »

Has anyone changed the stop/tail and indicator bulbs to LED?
If so what did you use? I assume that its necessary to change the indicator flasher and hazard flasher as well to an electronic version?
Any experience would be appreciated.

I have. Indicators, I used electronic flasher just because I had one and it works fine. The hazard flasher unit is standard and still works fine. Problem I did have was the indicators all flashed when used (all 4) Tony (mig wielder) worked it out and because of the single flasher warning light on the dash, I needed a diode thingy. Ill find the link to the stuff I used in a bit.

Got various leds on the Mazda but not the indicators as the flasher is a weird one. Got my bulbs on amazon I forget which brand but they are very good and no problems so far.

Dolomite will have full leds but of course not tested yet!

Scroll down this page and on the right it says "led flasher fix kit" that explains a bit more.

Same issue here - all down to the single indicator warning light, headlights still halogen but every other filament lights has been change to LED, the Octy Vrs is the same headlights HID 5000K and all other filament lights are LED.

My 1850 has LED stop/tail lights and I've got warm white LEDs in the front sidelights. I've got an electronic flasher unit for the indicators which is supposed to be LED ready. The interior light is also LED.
