Re: Rear Fog Light wiring query
I took a risk not fitting fog lights to my 1980 car because, A. I don't intend going out in the fog, rain or winter and B. they look like the after thought they are. My MOT man didn't clock this obvious omission. I still have the connectors fitted if I have to fit them. I have one new original light as well , I'm assuming you could fit one to meet regulations not the two they came with.
Yes.......
As long as it is positioned (at a suitable height) from the centre to the offside of the car.georgethompson730 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 21, 2017 10:16 amI'm assuming you could fit one to meet regulations not the two they came with.

Re: Rear Fog Light wiring query
The late Dolomite only came with one rear foglight on the offside, minimum legal requirement - and yes it WAS an afterthought! But on foglight equipped cars, there IS a single Lucas/Rists connector on the N/S, in the vicinity of the tail lamp, so that a second can be added. I have a couple of late model front to rear looms here and at least one main loom, when I have a minute spare. I'll track the circuit as far as feed points are concerned. I also have an original mount bracket for the switch that goes on the right side of the centre vent panel close to the choke knob available if anyone wants one. Unfortunately, I have found a use for the switch!
