Sprint coil springs.

#1 Post by sprintchris »

Recently I got the engine/box back in the Sprint but I've noticed the front suspension sits very high. All the suspension fixing bolts are loose and the car has been moved around to settle the suspension, but it still sits way too high.

The springs I bought as a kit from Rimmers over 10 years ago with Koni shock absorbers, the springs are supposed to be 1 inch lowered.

So, question 1 - what should the length of a 1 inch lowered spring be off the vehicle.

Question 2 - as I'm thinking these are wrong, who's the best supplier to get a pair of 1 inch lowered springs.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Chris.

Standard front spring length is 344 mm (uncompressed, ie off the damper), so 1" lowered would be less than that, but by a varying amount dependent upon poundage...
