Guy's
I need a new fuel pump spacer block - certain triumph spares sellers are selling what looks like a nylon spacer block where my old one looks like its made of asbestos (red) in colour - has anybody fitted a nylon spacer block and encounted any issues with it.
Also the gasket - some sellers gaskets look like paper rather than proper gasket material, I have found another supplier who gasket is the same material (well looks like it) as the gasket for the inlet manifold but it called a blanking off gasket. I prefer the blanking off gasket as the appeture is bigger to allow oil to get to the pump mechanism + the gasket material is thicker.
Would like your thoughts.

Re: Fuel pump spacer + gaskets
Can you not find a "short arm" pump?
The spacers just add that extra bit of uncertainty when refitting the bolts.
Anyway time spent with a scalpel and a suitable cereal packet will do the job on the gasket. Failing that you could buy a sheet of gasket paper.

Can't help with the spacer question, but PM me your address and I'll send off a couple of gaskets.
