Hi all
Anyone have any recommendation for laid up (no miles) insurance cover while I continue my restoration?!??! ? (Taking forever lol)
Current insurer has a £65 renewal cost, don’t think I’d get cheaper ?
Cheers
Iain

Re: Laid up insurance
I found the same thing when I was restoring the MG. The insurance company gradually racked up the off-road cover over the years to a very similar figure. It was only slightly more to have a full insurance policy with a low annual mileage ( 1000 miles from memory ) but do check it has garage and spare parts cover.
And it means when its finished it can go straight back on the road with no rip-off charges for "changes to policy between renewal dates".
Tony.

Re: Laid up insurance
Have you tried Peter James? I am only paying £120, for 2 cars on the road, with 3 named drivers.
One a dolly 1850 auto, the other a 2500s auto.
May be worth a try? and they only charge £15 for policy adjustment.
Cheers, Tony.

Thanks Tony I will try them then. A large chunk of the cost appears to be admin charges !
