Ive just steam cleaned years of oil and grease off the frame and found some odd paint marks.
Any ideas? They look factory, possibly alignment marks?

Paint marks on subframe...
Ive got the subframe off of my early 1850 at the moment as part of a clean-up-and-fix-the-oil-leak job....
Ive just steam cleaned years of oil and grease off the frame and found some odd paint marks.
Any ideas? They look factory, possibly alignment marks?

I've not seen or heard of any factory marks like that.
Some people are like Slinky's, they serve no real purpose in life but bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.
