#1 Post by Magenta Auto Sprint »

I saw this reg number on a silver Mk4 Golf last night, wondered if the owner was a Dolly fan.

Was it an estate? Ive seen a similar plate (maybe the same) at work in Leamington. Always thought of Jeroen when I saw it lol

No wasn't me. :D

The Dutch abingdon build works gp2 had 74FD19. My replica receives 80FE77. Closest sprint I could get, march 1975 with only a few weeks difference with the original Dutch car.
The question why I don't own that car is that the current long time owner does think it's made from gold. It is as original with the original bodyshell as in 1975 but technically totall loss with a non original broken engine and diff. My plans are rallying my replica and rebuilding the original to current safety specs would be a major crime. The seats, safetytank etc. are original. It's still exact as it left abingdon in 1975. It does not have the gp2 arches because BL NL tought that original appearance would benefit sales as it looked standard from the outside.

But maybe one time. There's only one buyer in NL who would buy it and respect it as it is.
