Hoping to have it all in etch by Sunday, all areas have been taken down to bare metal and rust treated and welded where necessary. Not much welding, but she has been outside since she was put back on the road approx 5 years ago. That was starting to take it's toll....

Cheers

Hello Folks

Some more done, it's that cold I can't etch prime anything and the heaters aren't having an effect in the workshop.

Back panel is now done ready to be etched and both rear quarters.

I have a problem possibly with the alignment of the prop, the first section from the gearbox looks to be kinked, the gearbox to cross member bracket looks bent, I've taken some pics, any advice please :-)

Hi Dave

I've not tried the epoxy, one of my mates has started using zinc primer on everything and has good results, but also it could be sitting in it for months and not get any surface rust.

Cheers

Seeing as no-one else has answered your prop question, i'll have a stab!

And I think it's correct for the mount to be canted like that, not 100% certain, but pretty sure. If you take the carpets out and look at the tunnel housing, you will also find that the gearstick hole is offset slightly to the drivers side to match it!
