I just clicked on your photo of the steering bush and found some Slavic woman who wanted to chat to me.

She seemed very nice though - homely type

Off too look at another Dolomite tomorrow to join the fleet, a Carmine red Sprint. Will keep posted on how it goes but looks like a nice original car.

It looks as if you have caught the Dolomite bug which means you just have to have more than one.

You are right it is fast becoming an addiction. So much so I have started collecting mini versions!

Viewed the car below today - as far as I can work out someone called Jim from here used to own it. However it was a little disappointing. The asking price is fair for a sprint, however I would of only wanted to pay about 3.5K for this one as the paintwork was not good & pickled all over. Mechanically the car looked sound but would of needed a full respray before I could of took it out in public!!

The search continues.

So today was D-Day for the Dolly, MOT time!

Pleased to say she passed with flying colors and only one advisory on the NSF upper ball joint. (Will replace these all when i have the engine and subframe out over the winter)

Also to be done today is the wheel alignment that im having set up properly after fitting new steering components and suspension.

Nearly all set for the New forest run!

Not many updates on work done - just lots of shows and Driving!

I did however get round to refurbishing and painting the lower side skirts. Look a lot better now!

Smiths Chrome oil pressure gauge ordered today from Rimmers, I will be putting it in place of the voltage gauge.

Also ordered a new set of coolant hoses whilst i was there!

Had a slight set back with NAB this week -

Went to get the car out of the garage only to find my bike rack had fallen off the wall along with 2 bikes! Both of which landed on the front of my car!

Luckily only a few scratches on the front panel but very frustrating. So I attempted to repair this evening, only to find the Brooklands green HAE paint I ordered from Rimmers was a different colour!

As you can see from below the paint from Rimmers is a lot lighter than the rest of the car!

Not sure what to do now!

Not much to report on NAB recently as a lot of my time has been taken up with the other Dolly.

Anyway, on this one I replaced the air filters, all of the fuel pipes & carb pipework, I also replaced the HT leads & fitted the original washer bottle & pump.

I also managed to source a new OSR door from Richard (amongst other items! ) which means I can now crack on with getting the door & OSR Lower panel repaired and painted.

Some pictures of this weekends antics:

Managed to get some work done on NAB this evening:

- replaced front & rear brake lines for Goodridge braided hoses
- replaced front brake pads & fitting kit
- bled fluid

One of those jobs that has needed to be done for a while just never got round to it. However it did highlight that the front calliper piston seals were all perished and will need rebuilding at some stage.
