So the car is currently away in the bodyshop having the OSR door replaced, Along with the OSR lower quarter replaced & painting. Cant wait to have it back!

The Dolly is still away being painted at the moment. However in preperation for its return ive ordered some goodies:

All new trim clips & seal clips for the new door
Spring/1850 rear anti-roll bar and bolts etc

Cant wait to have it back now.

I took a rear anti roll bar off that I had put on one of my 1500HLs because when I was under the car I noticed that it had been rubbing on the propshaft. I assume that it was when I had a full load of passengers or when I went over speed bumps. I am not aware of any other owners noticing this problem but I suggest you check after you have been using the car for some time.

The Carledo is considerably lower than stock, i've had no interference between the prop and the rear ARB, even under track conditions.

Saying that, a couple of people of my aquaintance (no names, no pack drill) who fitted the bar the wrong way round, have had it rub on stuff!

Not saying you did that Richard, i'm quite sure you know better!

I think that if you fit it on a 1500 you can only fit it one way round due to the position of the exhaust but I will have to check.

It is less likely that ARB/prop interference will occur on lowered cars.
However this is compromised by the centre mount rubber sagging.

A more likely problem is exhaust to propshaft contact.

Received the car back from the Bodyshop last night & im over the moon with it.

- OSR door replaced & painted
- OSR quarter replaced & painted
- front end resprayed

Just need to build everything back up now but really pleased with the finish.

Almost finished building back up. Also managed to get the rear anti roll bar fitted & had a spare engine dropped off from Richard

I did not have a problem fitting the rear anti roll bar and there seemed to be a lot of clearance but some time after when I was under the car I noticed that the prop shaft had a mark completely around it where it must have touched the ARB. I my assumption was that it must have happened when the car was fully loaded but it was not something that I was able to check as I do not have access to a pit or hoist. I had not noticed any rubbing noise when the car had been fully loaded.

I also had not noticed any improvement with the ARB fitted so I decide to take off.

I do not think it is possible to fit the ARB the wrong way up what do you think, can you fit the ARB the wrong way up?

Your car/paintwork/wheels are looking absolutly lovley. I really do need to get my wheels polished up and a bit of paintwork sorted. I hate to ask but what did that amount of bodyshop time cost you?

I must admit, I did not try to fit the ARB any other way as I checked the parts manual’s & google images for the correct way to fit before I started.

I have noticed the rear of the car seems a lot more planted when Driving hard, however it has introduced more understeer that I need to sort.

Thank you, I am extremely happy with it now. Love how it looks, just a few final touches to be done.

I’m afraid I cannot advise if the cost of the bodywork as I didn’t actually pay for it. We have a Bodyshop as part of the company I work for & I was owed a favour!
