Fewer Posts in Restoration section?

#1 Post by GTS290N »

The Resto section of the forum is my favourite, I enjoy most of the threads particularly the 'keep it close to original' threads but also some of the more detailed and knowledgeable ones with mega-changes.
I've seen a drop in recent volumes of posts, is this because of a lack of restorations or because of social media? I hope it's not the latter....

Sure i'm still doing my long term resto-mod Sprint Auto, but progress has been slow! No special reason for this, but my garage has been like an oven for weeks, it's only the last week or so it's become bearable for more than 10 mins at a time! British weather too HOT (some poeple are never satisfied!) There are a few photos of progress yet to be published. I'm waiting till I have enough for a good read for you all!

Also, it's holiday season! Whilst I DON'T go away during the 6 weeks school holidays, it's my best rental period for my static caravan and anyway, I hate (other peoples) screaming kids, most folk DO take time off for family at this time of year!

I am restoring an MG Midget at the moment to eventually finance a nice Dolomite.

I've been busy on a few other projects, though I hope to provide an update on the Dolomite soon.

Bill I am thinking it is the former because I don't see much on Facebook.

"websites and applications that enable users to create and share content or to participate in social networking."

The forums *are* social media..

I have Two 1300s, an 1850 and another car that I'm in the process of restoring, the 1300s are now up and running but still requiring work. The reason I don't post here is partly its a lot easier to download pics from my pone to FB but then still I only post a few pics. Another reason is there are very few 1300 fans on this page where FB has a dedicated busy 1300 page.

I can't. Just cannot. My dolly is white too, same as the one I bought in '79. My 1300 was a TC in green with red interior. Maybe if I buy a lottery ticket it might happen.....
