I have a non-standard alternator fitted (A127??) and needed a slightly longer fan belt.

Well, lots to think about. I've no idea if the alternator is the original one or not. It is a Lucas LRA100. The Gates 960mm belt arrived today from Londonderry and it fits OK. But just for interest's sake, the outside diameter of the pulley is 2 5/8 inch. I can't measure the diameter in the groove as the belt is now fitted. How does that pulley size measure up to the ones Galileo and Alun have? Oh, and the car does not have any non-standard parts. The fan is the original fixed propellor mounted on the front of the engine.
