I'm after some advice from those that have experience of suspension. I have a Volvo V70 that needs new rears springs and shocks, a local car parts supplier has recommended Monroe (even though he doesn't sell them) I'll be fitted levelling shocks and heavy duty springs and have checked some reviews all of which seem to be along the lines of 'x brand is much better' but they are only comparing to the worn springs they have replaced.
Soooo does anyone here have any real experience to compare differing makes?
TIA.

I have Sachs on my Octavia, fitted a full set 4 years ago. They have been fine.

Monroe used to be the shocker of choise for towing or heavy loads ect. They branded them as load levellers and i have got to say they were brilliant
I have not had to use them of late though. Koni vs sachs???? Personally i would use Koni but that is only me, both have got a very good name.
Are the Monroe still branded as load levellers? The ones i used to fit had a spring around the shock as well.
Tony.

Cheers Tony, It's the load levelling and towing I need. I realise they aren't cheap but don't mind paying if they are going to keep the arse end up in the air

IME Koni quality has gone down the tube of late, whilst the prices have escalated.
Sachs stuff seems ok, but i'd be inclined to go with the Monroes as recommended by your guy!
