Any tips on nose badge replacement? I’ve a nice new triumph badge to replace the faded one on my car, but I can’t see how you would be able to get access to the back of it to replace the pin retainers?
Am I missing something, or is it another wonderful triumph design?
Hi Bish, I seem to remember they are held in with friction bushes? I do know the boot badge is as i have recently prized mine off to replace a broken one.
You don't need to get behind it, it just prises off from the front. I used some plastic tools that I have for removing door trim, but a flat bladed screwdriver will work as long as you pad it so as not to damage the paint.

Hi,
Rather than starting a new thread, and because I know that they're unobtainable new/repro, where can I find a really good used (or new) nose badge for my SPRINT ?
All the other badges on my car are in really good condition except for the nose badge which is pitted and the gold is faded to white.
Cheers,
Rob
They crop up on eBay fairly frequently although how you'd go about getting it shipped to Aus I'm not sure!
Alternatively stick a wanted add in the wanted section. I'm sure somebody here must have a spare one gathering dust, I have 4 nose badges but no Sprint ones!

Thanks Gents,
FYI....
There's one on eBay now, but with the cost of postage added its prohibitive, even at the starting bid.
There is also a Dolomite 135 nose badge listed as well.

About 10 days ago I received an unexpected email from Rimmers saying the Nose Badge I'd placed on back order had arrived and would be mine as soon as I paid for it.
I cant remember ever placing a back order, but 10 years ago (April 2011) I bought new badges to replace the faded originals. I may have placed it then, when I found they didn't have any nose badges in stock.
Anyway, they do now....not cheap though https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-ZKC375
It'l be on the car tomorrow.

I got a set of the eBay ones from AP Graphics for my car. A quick easy way to freshen up the badges. Of course they are just foil printed inserts so won't help if the surround is pitted. But for just over £20 for a complete set - they now include the front "TRIUMPH" badge they are not bad value and mine fitted nicely.
They are flat and not embossed, I peeled the original inserts out and cleaned up the holders so the new ones stuck in nice and flat.

Yes, I too have used those repro decals to freshen up my badges. I reckon they are great value for money.
Unlike the repro badge pin plug things. What a load of %£#& they are! Do not buy any!! I used some 3M exterior grade sticky pads and stuck the front badge on - sorted
