Hello, has anybody removed the door card vinyl and replaced the old hardboard ?

Ive replaced them before on a Stag,ive also made new door cards in PVA ( plastic) for the dolomite but not fitted the Leather cover yet
Im not sure if you can buy the door cards on there own,i used my old door cards as a pattern to cut round,i used evo-stick

Just flip it over and carefully detached the vinyl covers. Then used the old hardboard as a pattern for the replacement, people recommend marine ply but we just used some hardboard and varnished it to keep the water out. Once you have cut out the new backing, just glue and staple it back on. One word of caution, if you do use staples, make sure they aren't big enough to go all the way through the hardboard and stick out of the vinyl. Learnt that one the hard way.
