Car show today

#1 Post by rvfrc45 »

Hi All,
Just got home from the TDC car show today.
I will apologise to all for leaving early but my wife is recovering from surgery.
Great day, great weather and some very fine cars on display.
After seeing one sprint my wife was asking me to change our sprints colour.
Anyway I noticed two lovely sprints on new Dunlop street response tyres.
Could you please tell me if this is the 2 version type tyre or other markings I missed.
Its been a long while since I have been to a show and great to see some old faces.
Seeing Jim selling his spares and talking to him about his old mint Magenta Sprint was priceless.
I'm not being rude but is this the normal size of shows now days as I did miss more trade stands.
Other than that its given me a kick up the backside to get my sprint back on the road.
Great show guys and a very good venue. Cheers Gary.

Our Oxfordshire Area Group did a grand job of organising this, special thanks to Matt and Mike :bluewave:
I run Dunlop Street Response 2s on my Dolomite and one of my "moderns", they seem pretty good.
Sadly we no longer manage to attract traders to our annual rally, as indeed neither do even the commercial events. I can understand their position; they sell most of their stock online/mailorder, so why go to the expense of loading a van with parts and driving to the other side of the country in the hope that they may sell a few widgets, which might just cover the cost of their fuel.

My Sprint EFR and Polly's FRW are both on Dunlop StreetResponse not StreetResponse 2
No complaints seem good tyres.
I guess StreetResponse 2 is just a later generation.
Regards, Paul.

Hi All,
Thank you for your feed back regarding the tyres.
I believe the mint Vermillion Sprint was shod with them.
Paul are you the guy I was talking too from Cheshire.
Well since the show I've really getting stuck in,
windscreen is out, sunroof out, vinyl roof off, roof lining down well sort off as have not got
rear screen out yet.
Paintwork done around windscreen aperture and old glue off the roof and D posts.
All this for seeing great cars at the show lol.
Does anybody know where can I get new badges for the D posts.
Also guys where can I get a overhauled dash and door capping's.
If they are not available does anybody know who overhauls badges or the dashes.
Thank again lads for the kick up the backside.
Cheers Gary.
