Intermediate shaft

Finally got round to attempting to replace the lower steering coupling which I refurbed with poly bushes to find the intermediate shaft splines all chewed up, question is where is the best place to buy ?

Fitchetts keep them - and they are NOT closed, despite their website saying so! I was in there today, give them a bell!

What had happened to it to cause this?
Had you had a pressed joint fitted previously?

No Ian i had a Rimmers one which fell apart after 18 months ( i may have tried to fit a pressed one many moons ago and then junked it but im sure i went with the original design in the end :?: ) and then a good second hand one i had in the garage which was starting to show some play hence me changing for the poly bushed one, the intermidiate shaft that needs replacing is probably the original as i have never changed it.
