A good while ago, I bought a LHD Fiesta, a very early, but tidy MKI, from a German guy and had to get it registered in the Uk. Despite it's age, it was a matching numbers car. It can't be a coincidence that when I registered it, on the dreaded Q plate, the letters were the basic Shropshire identifiers, but the numbers were the last 3 of the engine/vin!
