Trigger wheel fitting help ?

#1 Post by Pen »

Has anyone fitted a trigger wheel to a sprint , the trigger ring /wheel I can see to fit will only be bolted onto the outer flexi part of the wheel and would leave it not totally accurate for a crank sensor , has anyone fitted one for ignition type change to such as megajolt
Cheers

I can see them cheers , I see your set at 90deg before tdc (something I wasn’t 100% as I’ve not done this before ) also like the bracket looks a tidy spot to mount 👍🏻

I'm just in the process of fitted EDIS on one of my 1500s, just waiting for the trigger wheel to be made and fitted to the pulley

Hi Martin,

If I remember right, you were running this set up on your Sprint with twin 45s. I just wondered what TPS you used. There is not much clearance at the front of that manifold as the thermostat housing gets in the way.

Hi Andrew. I was given a TPS from a Ford Mondeo, I believe (not that you'll find one of those over there). It's just a 3 wire sensor. I fabricated a mounting bracket and cobbled something together to attach it to the left-hand carb throttle spindle (nearest the bulkhead/fire wall).
