oil gauge

Im about to fit an oil gauge ,but am not sure where to drill the hole in the body work for the hose to the oil gauge

I use the blind grommet hole the speedo cable goes through in non Sprint models, below and inboard of the coil. Why drill a new hole when the bulkhead is already like a pepper pot?

Mine is the same as Steve's Dave, but was fitted by PO.

This one here, there is a matching hole in the inner bulkhead too. The Sprint speedo cable comes through a hole in the tunnel forward of the removable section, so these grommets are blank on Sprints. Plenty of room, as you can see, to get the oil pipe and the capilary sender tube for the MGB combined guage through.
