Ball Joint GSJ133 - Obtaining a replacment boot

#1 Post by bazyerma »

Hi

Currently want to change the boot no my upper ball joints but the largest size I have and can find online is max 45mm, and wont fit.

I have measured the big hole at approx. 60mm and the small 20mm.

Anyone recommend a source for these?

Regards

Barry

Hi

Is that so, although, spending £25 on membership of a £2 part just seems to muck like a kick in the balls!

Membership is still cheaper than a new ball joint, and the parts fit. 8)

Hi Tony

Can they, it's not listed in any of the parts lists, unless I am missing something? Also I was a member for 3 years but let it lapse as I didn't like the magazine and never ordered anything from the club

Very odd as thats where I buy mine from, why anyone would want a loose fitting boot puzzles me.

Hi

As I said in the beginning I have a J&R boot kit as below, and the biggest it has the Large only got from 35-46. I don't want a "loose" boot I just want something that fits!

We have both ball joint and track rod end boots/gaiters in stock.

I think it's great that the TDC provides this forum and lets anyone use it free of charge.

Hi Mart

How much are they, can you confirm the large end opening size?

I am not having a go at the club but I hope to source this £2 part else where first, we all have to make a living!

Hi Glen

I just want to ensure the club boot will fit, as I have found odd things on my car before.
