Too many green wires..............

evening peeps.
Bit of wiring help needed here.... The voltage stabaliser has two dark green wire on the fee side, one direct from fuse box but where does the other one come from (ignition switch?) my wiring diagram shows only one in and one out.

And....

on the fuse box one of the green wires goes to the wiper motor, is this the same one as then goes to the washer pump?
Reason for questions is that I seem to have one too may green wires and when wired as per the diagram one of the wires makes the wiper run even when the switch is off or could this be the wipers park switch at fault?

Can't help you on the double wire at the VS, all my wiring diagrams (5 in all) show a single feed. But the question is not where the second lead comes from, but where it goes! It's unlikely that both are feeds. It's not unusual to have looped feeds that power several different circuits, there are quite a few just behind the dash. What exact model are we working with here? it may be that your model is not included in the search of diagrams I conducted.

The wipers have 2 feeds, 1 to the switch and the other direct to the motor to power the park circuit. So if the wipers won't turn off you do indeed have a problem with the park circuit. The feedwire to the wiper switch is looped internally in the switch assembly to the washer switch.

Cheers for the reply, you've confirmed what I thought about the wiper, as for the VS it only feeds the fuel and temp gauges as with all the Dolly range all my books show only 1 dark green in direct from the fuse and a light green to the dash.
Its on an 1850 but my 1300 also has two dark green wires on the VS.

I think Steve means that the green wire goes off to feed something else, rather than being a feed coming in. As you say, one green comes from the fusebox to the voltage stabiliser and that terminal is just being used as a point to run a feed off to something else, rather than coming straight from the fusebox. You could disconnect the extra wire and see what doesn't then work. I'll check my car tomorrow, to see if I have two wires.

Thanks Mart, I know one geen was to Reverse light but its not clear on the diagram that it piggy backs off the VS

One is a late and one is a midchange hybrid. I think Mart has nailed the answer.
