Exhaust rear hanger

#1 Post by sm519193 »

when taking the exhaust apart to replace the centre box, the rear bodged up soft metal hanger disintegrated
I found one on ebay so thought all was going to be ok, its arrived but I find the holes in the bracket match nothing that I can see.
So the bodged up one must have just been added but not made up to fit where the original was.

Can anyone put a picture of where the real one is supposed to attach to the car and what it looks like when all is good

this the nasty one that was attached

Here is mine nearly ready to go

and here is where the nasty one was in the rear wheel arch

That looks to be the top of the wheel arch, the correct position of the lower rear side of the nearside arch, should be two captive nuts there.

Thanks Mahony, hadn't realized it was still in two places, so I have replied on the original.
