Re: Bonnet strut
The quicksprint has four very short ones fitted, a pair each side...they worked well, but they're a bloody nuisance when they wear out.

Yep, had that issue with my Rover 75, first breath of wind and the bonnet headed slowly for your head.
To be honest I don't see what is wrong with the stock setup? Little that can go wrong with a solid bonnet stay.
Re: Bonnet strut
Oh I dunno, you can accidently gouge your new paintwork when re-fitting your bonnet, or was that just mecleverusername wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 11:48 am To be honest I don't see what is wrong with the stock setup? Little that can go wrong with a solid bonnet stay.

Re: Bonnet strut
The penalty for laziness i'm afraid! Just because you CAN remove the stay with the bonnet, doesn't mean you SHOULD! I remove the split pin and clevis and leave the stay in the track, only takes a second to refit it and it's not dangling in your way then!geeksteve wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 3:23 pmOh I dunno, you can accidently gouge your new paintwork when re-fitting your bonnet, or was that just mecleverusername wrote: ↑Sat Jul 03, 2021 11:48 am To be honest I don't see what is wrong with the stock setup?
