Hi all,
There’s a T reg Sprint on eBay with a single brake master cylinder. Does that seem correct ?
I always thought that from VA26900 / 1977 there were differences eg tandem brakes and something to do with bumpers, fog lights, hazard switch etc...

Re: Series 1 / 2 differences
I'm sure tandem brakes were introduced circa 1978 so it is possible that a T reg Sprint could have single line brakes.
No doubt somebody will correct me if I'm wrong.

I know it's not a Sprint but.. my 1978 1500HL was single line brakes. Not sure if it's relevent or not.

Re: Series 1 / 2 differences
Tandem brakes were introduced on the series IV cars VA30,000> starting circa November 1978. Other series IV features include the sill moulding delete, seamless vinyl roof and speedo calibrated in 20 mph increments. Drivers door mirror obligatory and factory fitted from some time in late 79 and rear foglight from Jan 1st 1980.
My own VA 26140 on a T plate (registered 1/9/78 but probably built in May/June) came with single circuit brakes as well it should, it's only a series III. The T plate commenced on August 1st 1978. Then there are a lot of late registrations too. I had a car here for some time, a series IV Russet Sprint auto, built in June of 79 and not registered till may 80. It waited so long to be sold, it had to be retrofitted with rear foglights!
