Hi everybody I'm new here. I have a Dolomite 1850 based kitcar with 3/8" hub studs and steel wheels. I aquired a decent set of sprint wheels many years ago and have just attempted to fit them to the 1850 hubs. the wheels do not fit the hub centre at the front or rear, the wheel centre hole being too small. I cant find anything in the Haynes manual to say that there is any difference between 1850 front hubs and
Sprint hubs. Can any one here throw some light on this please. Oldrider

Re: Sprint wheels
They should just fit, the hubs are identical across the range, are you sure they are Dolomite hubs on your car?

Re: Sprint wheels
Are they actually sprint wheels or look a likes? if they are sprint wheels, have they been renovated and powder coated? i had to clean out the powder coating in the bores as they would not fit otherwise.
Just a thought,
Malcolm

Re: Sprint wheels
I put a set of Sprint wheels on my 1850 without any trouble. They really suit the car so well - so much better than the horrible black plastic hubcaps it had.

Re: Sprint wheels
Are you talking about the centre hole with the pop off alloy covers. I think Kit Car is the big clue. Probably a completely different bearing set up.
