Hi, long time. :bluewave:

Working on my second engine these days, just ordered the str91 camshaft from triumphtune moss.
The engine is going to use weber 45 with 5 progression holes.

My question is, anyone got a ignition curve chart matched to str91 cam?, or is it good to go using the original curve from standard dizzy?

It will run with the std. dizzy as it would most likely also run with the curve of a 1986 fiat panda 750L. There is no such thing as a curve suitable for but you have to find the curve for your particular engine. Too much variables. Using webers results in less good mixture at idle so a bit more advance. Just having the distributor adjusted more advanced at idle will have it too advanced at high revs. The cam isn't also helping for the use of the std. curve. What about the vacuüm connection? No vacuum connection on the webers and when there is one the vacuum character is totally different and of no use.

So if the webers are for show use only you can retain your original dizzy.

Not going to use the vakuum, so fixed ignition. :D .
Don't know what you mean by "weber's only for show use".....
I've been using dcoe for many year on my ford's, really like them alot and find them quite easy to work with......the dcoe sound is also "a must"

What im after is a ignition curve map, for a standard engine or prefer from a engine using str91 camshaft......just to make a base ignition map.

That are cars with just webers fitted with random jets and venturies just to have oohs and aahs from bystanders when the bonnet opens. Those engines only idle 1745 rpm and they drive away after the show when nobody is left........

The sprint is at revs very effective so 31-32 advance max. More gives less power and even more can cause damage. At idle somewhere around 15. In between is up to you.

Hahahaha.......well im not of those guys.......you really got me laughing now   :woohoo:

Thanks, you already long time ago gave me the important info about max advance 31-32°.
Still after a ignition figure / map that someone use in any programable unit.

Cheers

Great news that you still have the car, and are still enjoying it!
How did you get on with the Webber’s and cam etc?
Any more photos to share?

All the best, Bish.

Had the Weber's on and off a couple of times, but now at standard SU's.
Have not done anything else yet.
