They are hard to find as they must have forgot the hammer when it came to stamping in the number.
If you look down between the carbs and then to the curve in the block you might be able to make it out.
I only found mine once the engine was out and was able to get in front of it after removing the crud and paint.
I’ve picked it out in silver

Thanks Trevor, with that info I've found mine! Can't read it as it's so faint, but found it - it was much further "round" on the top/flat section of the block still just "visible" between the carbs though.
