Hmm, close, but I think not, the diagonal beneath the ‘p’ doesn’t fit….anyway, did AP ever make anything themselves or just a parent company which bought other brands?

I have seen that logo on shells.... But I dont know what brand it represents.
I've seen it on A and B series, and on Triumph 1500.
Generally on original engines that have never been rebuilt before.
Anyone know who BLs bearing supplier was in the 70s? That may give you the answer.

Vandervell, AE, Glacier are the most common OE bearings. The partnumber on the shell is a KING bearing number but also King had bearings made and did put in County ones in their later boxes. If these are tri metal these can de sold by the KING factory and are of a good quality and probably older than 25 years. These have a normal dark grey colour and not the alloy colour what the current KING (County) are. I do not have these anymore so can't compare.

Other brands that made these themselves were Clevite and Repco but these had their own logo's on them. As with all these parts when manufactureres did manufacture these bearings themselves anymore other brands were boxes. That's why you can find Vandervell in AE boxes etc. etc.

So sorry no help for exact identification but the KING part number can point to a certain direction.
