Wiper Park Function

I removed the wiper assembly, motor and all linkages. Now I have put it back together the wiper park function doesn't work. Is there a specific way it needs to be reassembled in order for the park function to work. I didnt disassemble the motor.

The park switch is a flimsy and easily damaged plastic block on the outside of the wiper moter. Either it's damaged/broken or (far less likely) it's not getting feed. The motor has 2 separate feeds from the fusebox, but both on the same tag, one goes via the switch and the other straight to the motor park switch. If the motor itself works, you can virtually eliminate the fuse and fusebox only leaving a foot or so of wire and the connection to the motor itself. Like I said, unlikely!

If it's been left standing a long time, the park switch can sometimes get gunked up internally. Not the easiest thing to get at (more like impossible) with the motor in situ and equally difficult to get the switch out of the motor without breaking off the age and heat degraded plastic tangs that secure it! The only upside is I believe you CAN still get a new park switch assembly. Good luck!

All of the linkages are connected.
When I disassembled everything I didnt pay attention to the position of the motor shaft in relation to the crank arm. I am wondering if when I put it back together I could have got the crank arm and motor shaft out of sync. I am not sure if this is possible or if it would make a difference.

IIRC, you can only get the position correct or 180 degrees out. Ie park left or park right. And beyond the inconvenience of resetting it, I don't think it matters to wiper park function.
