Club head lamp panels

#1 Post by new to this »

Just wondering if any one else has had the need for the head lamp panels to be made bigger, my idea would be an extension to the headlamp panel to go further in to the inner valance ? this is not a moan about the panels available

There can be a need, but it's not economial or easy to make. The panel as supplied currently is effectively flat, so easy to make. Make it any longer and you start getting into pressed curves which complicates it and would probably double the price for a few extra inches that not everyone needs.

My grey 1500FWD has a load of rot on the bonnet hinge area of the inner front panel, a longer headlamp repair would likely fix that. But i'll probably either source a NOS inner front panel or cut some better bits from a scrapper. I'll be using the Club GRP wings and outer front panel, so i'll need a modicum of stiffness!

I was thinking the extension panel could be made as an extra panel, just for those that may need it,yes it is a hard panel to make,i would think out of 10 headlamp panels soled there may be 4 people that need the extension

I have an inner panel that im using as a template

and this is what ive made so far
