Engine and Gearbox out

#1 Post by sm519193 »

Hi all,
I have just managed to get the sprint engine and gearbox out of the car, it was always destined to come out as its been dropping a fair amount of oil and had a unknown rattle that came in about 3000 RPM,
the exhaust manifold was blowing, starter motor was a little hit and miss, and the OD was in a world of its own.
While I would like to being all the horses back to the engine and make sure everything is as it should be I just don't think I have enough expertise in this area.

I am looking for the possibilities of someone being able to take on this, ideally someone or company that has plenty of experience with the Sprint engine, gearbox and OD
I'm in the Wokingham area but will take the whole lot to where it needs to be (within reason)

Any suggestions / advice welcome

A trip to Somerset to see Mad Mart; he’s recently done 4 engines for me.

Though you do have Tony McKillop as a near neighbour…

Thanks both, I have sent a PM to Tony and will probably be in touch with Mad Mart in the near future

I would also suggest TrackerJack (search for his username) he's just built a third engine for me and he's in Waterlooville near Chichester....I recommend him unconditionally and his rates are v e r y reasonable!
Come and see some pretty shoddy, slow driving of a really well prepared competition Sprint here!
