Spigot bush retaining plate

#1 Post by cleverusername »

Stripped down the Sprint engine and have found part UKC0998 is broken up.

Could that explain some of the noise and does anyone know where I can find a replacement?

The second such request I’ve seen this weekend!

I myself have had to rob one from a spare block this week for an engine that Mad Mart had built up for me…maybe time to look to get some made…

Tried welding it up, got it back in one piece but not sure I create the original profile by hand.

The metal in the central mounting hole has gone brittle, no idea what could have done that.

I actually found a spare one this afternoon, slightly distorted around the central hole though.

I'll see if I can get it copied...without the distortion!

That would be very helpful if you could manage that, I suspect your efforts might be a tad superior to my attempts.
