Toledo interior headlining

#1 Post by Bunji »

Hi all,

I am looking at sourcing an original headlining for my 72 Toledo. I believe the original material is still on the B pillars.

I think this is called Longhorn, would that be correct?

Does anyone know where I could source a replacement headlining of this pattern in white?

I have tried Aldridges, however they say they only supply this pattern in green.

Yes it is called "Longhorn".

I sourced some at the end of 2019 when I remade my Britax Weathershield Webasto style sunroof. I got some from this company:

https://newtoncomm.co.uk/

They were reluctant to sell me some as they said they usually sell only complete headlinings but when I explained what I wanted it for the agreed to sell me some off the roll. 1.5m wide. It was £46.36 per metre inc VAT plus shipping.

email address : salesemail@newtoncomm.co.uk

The material was a very good match to the original in both colour (allowing for ageing) and in terms of pattern match.

Hope that helps

Thanks Roger, a good lead. :D

Just checking, a Dolomite headlining will be the same size as Toledo?

Cheers

A 4 door Toledo is the same headliner as a Dolomite. The 2 door has a slight difference as the the B post cover is attached to the headliner and in a slightly different place as the doors are longer. The 2 door also has thinner rear pillars. It's nothing you can't get round with a bit of enginuity though. The overall size and shape is the same.

A strange response because the headlining Aldridge supplied to me a few years ago is a perfect match for the original.

They are still advertising on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/253938030464 ... SwNjxbx0wh

Yes now I've investigated further it does seem odd. I am of the understanding the longhorn is both the pattern and colour (off-white) -correct me if I'm wrong and it comes in other colours. Luckily the people at Newton are being very helpful.
