I'm in the middle of stripping & rebuilding a Sprint overdrive unit. This is part of what I do (now I'm retired). If you have any old O/D units you don't want...I'll have them.
I'm also currently stripping & rebuilding a Sprint engine and gearbox and I also have an 1850 gearbox & O/D to do.
Just in case you were wondering!
Sprintless for the first time in 35+ years. ... Still Sprintless.
Engines, Gearboxes, Overdrives etc. rebuilt. PM me.

Speaking from experience- if you are like me, in two years you will want to go back to work for a rest.

What he said! ^^^^^^^^
Over 2 years since I "retired" and I have enough work on hand to take me well into 2023 and struggle to make time for my own projects!

Whilst the use of plastic infers later, the number would suggest earlier rather than later...but what does the 'E' prefix signify; an exchange unit?
Try giving Overdrive Repair Services a call as I've always found them helpful and amenable; I acquired a Humber Sceptre overdrive 'box earlier in the year and not only did they confirm its identity, but also gave me chapter and verse on its cross compatibility.
