Visit to Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers Museum - Lyneham

#1 Post by Richard the old one »

I have advised the REME museum @ Lyneham, Wiltshire that the Bristol Group are planning to visit the museum on Saturday 9th March.

Details of the museum can be found on www.rememuseum.org.uk.

It is anticipated that we will be given a group discount on entre fees, but the actual amount is not know at this time.

If you are a club member and wish to join us please advise me via this forum so that I can update the museum prior to our visit as to numbers they can expect to be visiting.

I would just like to remind people it is this coming Saturday so if you are free why not join us. The museum opens at 10:00 but the cafe opens a bit earlier 09:30.

If you need some info on the museum just look it up on the internet.

I have just been on the Wiltshire council site and it states the B4069 is closed so if you had been planning to use this road you will need to find any alternative route.

A very enjoyable morning spent at the museum. Many thanks to Richard for organising this gathering which attracted some Dolomite and T2000 cars.
