Hello All!
Following Marty Dolomite's post, I thought I should properly introduce my electric converted Dolomite.
I restored and converted this green machine after it was off the road for 20 years. It is not one for the purists, but I wanted to try something different and give electric a go.
It is a joy to drive, very nippy, handles great and costs hardly anything to run. It is also the only classic I see on the road doing my 40 mile round trip daily commute!
130 miles of range, same weight as the petrol car, but lost some boot space. Fully reversible if you were so inclined.
Registering a converted EV is complicated, and it massively differs case to case. I had to get mine Q plated, which I am not too bothered about. Part of the car’s story now.
I appreciate it won’t be for everyone, but I am interested in hearing the groups thoughts.
Cheers!
