brass expansion bottle on the mimosukle Mart. People were beginning to think I was from the planet Zarg whenever they saw my polished brass bottle in my engine bay. They couldn't (or wouldn't) believe it came as an original fit on my Sprint

:rofl4: You had me going there for a minute Alun. I didn't scroll down to see the punchline.

To be fair Scott, most of the hard work had been done. All the small patches, sills etc. I just put the wings/front panel on...oh and the h/light panels.

I'll have to go get that expansion bottle one day soon. Bit of a long drive just for that though.

Thanks Kev but the bottle is for SFB, nothing to do with Scott. Just a reply to Yellow Banana's comment (forgot who he is now  ).

SFB has just left for the spray shop. I'm hoping to go down & take some photos of their progress over the coming weeks.

Was trying to think of things to do whilst SFB is out of the way, so I started on the servo. :D

I was going to start on the blower too but it seems in pretty good nick so I think I'll leave it.

What surprised me is that it has a single line MC on it which I'm sure it shouldn't be on a '78 Sprint. I know it could have been swapped by the PO.

Mart, I was lost for words when you Green Sprint sold. Even more lost for words at the speed you acquired a replacement and even more lost for words at the rate of progress you are making.

I must admit to having been a bit distracted of late, it has four wheels, 100cc two stroke TKM BT82, will do 65mph with your arse an inch of the ground [-X

A bit od a distraction for me and my lad, he's taken up Karting and whilst only on four strokes at the moment he is developing a nice style, not bad for 11 yrs old to see him apply for membership of the 'opposite lock club'

Dad fancy's a few laps in the two stroke Kart before i'm too old

Cheers Malc, I must admit I do have plenty of time to work on it & no kids to distract me, not that that would be much of a distraction anyway (I think, I'll never know).

Get them started young & they may make it big time & look after you in your old age!

Not sure I want to be a member of the "Opposite Lock" club, sounds a bit... 8-[

Me too. I still haven't got round to dismantling the doors I took off the car 8 months ago...

Likewise, Mart your progress is impressive! I took my V8 off the road a year ago to paint the front wings and the engine bay...

A year later, it's all painted and back together, but awaiting head gaskets...

How lame am I!? :D
